General Admissions Policies

All applicants to Illinois School of Health Careers must be at least 17 years old. The School admits applicants who submit a diploma, certificate or other proof of graduation from an institution providing secondary education or the relevant equivalent of such graduation, e.g. GED certificate.

For students enrolled in an allied health program, a statement of general health signed by the student must be submitted to the school. Students in the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs must have Hepatitis B series inoculations and a Tuberculosis test.

All of the above requirements must be satisfied within the first 30 days of the class start.

Admissions Procedures

Call for an appointment to arrange an interview and tour of the school.
Complete an application form and obtain health forms for later submission.
Submit evidence of a high school diploma or GED, plus two pieces of identification.
