Illinois School of Health Careers graduated 521 students at the 2012 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Auditorium Theater in downtown Chicago.
Illinois School of Health Careers (ISHC) is proud to announce that the Commencement Speaker at the 2012 Commencement was Maurice James, Recruitment & Retention Specialist at MacNeal Hospital, and founder of The Maurice James Empowerment Group.
Maurice James states: "The word education is said to derive from the Latin root educo - which means to draw out. Conventional thinking teaches that education is designed to put something "in" students, but I believe it helps to uncover, sharpen and draw out hidden talents, abilities and potential. ISHC is a mirror to the students reflecting to them the realms of possibilities. As a human resources professional, I am hoping to encourage the students about the skills they have obtained through ISHC, give insight from an employer's perspective and help them celebrate this great accomplishment."
